A travel company run by people who would rather be traveling
We started in 2011 with one route and one rule: never sell a trip we have not taken ourselves. Fifteen years on, the rule still stands.
Our story
Small on purpose
Wayfare began when our founder Maya spent a season guiding on the Amalfi Coast and watched coach after coach unload for a twenty-minute photo stop. She thought the coast deserved better, and so did the travelers.
Today we run twelve routes in eight countries. Every one is scouted by our own team, led by a guide who lives in the region and capped at twelve guests. We stay in small hotels owned by local families, eat where our guides eat and leave time in every day for nothing at all.
We are still independent, still small and still answer our own phones.
