Overview
The Inca Trail is limited to 500 people a day, and permits go fast. We secure yours when you book, give you three days in Cusco and the Sacred Valley to adjust to the altitude, then set off with guides, cooks and well-paid porters.
You will reach the Sun Gate at first light on day four.
Day by day
Days 1 to 2: Cusco
Settle in at 3,400 meters with easy walks and coca tea.
Day 3: Sacred Valley
Pisac market, Moray terraces and Ollantaytambo.
Days 4 to 6: Inca Trail
Cloud forest, high passes and ruins you can only reach on foot.
Day 7: Machu Picchu
Sunrise at the Sun Gate and a guided tour of the citadel.
Day 8: Cusco
A free day and farewell dinner.
Day 9: Depart
Transfer to Cusco airport.
